Terms of Use

By downloading or using Looking to Buy (“the app”) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Distribution happens through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and your use is also subject to the terms of those stores.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, post a listing, or message another user. Browsing does not require an account.

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, keep it current, and do not impersonate anyone or create an account on someone else’s behalf.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app except where permitted by law, and you may not scrape, crawl, or bulk-download listings or user data.

You keep ownership of everything you post — your listings, photos, and messages. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service. That license ends when you delete the content, except for copies already made by other users.

You are responsible for what you post. Only post photos you took or have the right to use, and only list items you actually own and have the right to sell.

Do not list, seek, or trade:

• Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
• Drugs, controlled substances, tobacco, alcohol, or vaping products
• Stolen, counterfeit, or recalled goods
• Live animals
• Prescription drugs, medical devices, or human remains or fluids
• Adult or sexually explicit material
• Hazardous materials
• Personal data, accounts, or anything else you do not have the right to sell
• Anything otherwise illegal where you or the other party lives

• Harassing, threatening, defrauding, stalking, or discriminating against another user
• Posting misleading listings, fake wanted ads, or spam
• Soliciting payment outside the item being discussed, or running any advance-fee scam
• Attempting to access another user's account, messages, or data
• Using bots or automated tools against the service

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. If you see a listing, message, or user that breaks these Terms, report it to parkerdevwork@gmail.com with a description and a screenshot if you have one. We review reports and act within 24 hours, which may include removing content, suspending an account, or banning someone permanently. We may remove any content or terminate any account, at our discretion, without notice.

Transactions happen in person. Meet in a busy public place or a police-station safe-exchange zone, bring someone with you where you can, inspect items before paying, and trust your instincts. Never send money in advance, and never share financial details in chat. You meet other users entirely at your own risk, and we are not responsible for your interactions with them.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We do not guarantee that listings, messages, or photos will be preserved indefinitely, and we are not liable for any loss of content.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any listing, user, or item is legitimate, accurate, safe, or as described.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of data, loss of money, property damage, or personal injury arising from a transaction or meeting with another user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app or $25 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your content, your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your dealings with another user.

You may stop using the app and request deletion of your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your account for any violation of these Terms. The sections covering your content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity survive termination.

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by revising the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
